Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother

Mrs. Lorraine R. (Desjardins) Fierley, age 70, a longtime resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died peacefully on Monday morning, June 12, 2017, with her family by her side. 

Born in Lowell on July 1, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Rene A. and Jeanne I. (Duchesne) Desjardins.

Lorraine worked at the former Merrimack River Valley House for several years, assisting and caring for the residents.

She was a kind and loving person who always enjoyed bringing happiness to people.  Lorraine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson. 

She is survived by two daughters and two sons in law, Renee Durand and her husband Duane of Nashua and Heidi Murray and her husband Sean of Hudson; a son, Shawn Fierley of Lowell; six grandchildren, Joshua Fierley-Zupokfska, Kayla Zupokfska, Alexander Durand, Olivia Durand, Cameron Murray and Hayden Fierley; a great grandson, Hunter Rodriguez; a sister in law, Noella L. Desjardins of FL; and many nieces, nephews and several dear friends.

She was the great grandmother of the late Keegan Zupokfska and sister of the late Ronald Desjardins and Pauline A. Lagasse and her husband Leo.

Relatives and friends may call at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, on Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Her committal service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory the The Saab Residence, Activities Department, 1085 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.  For online condolences or directions, please visit www.tyngboroughfuneralhome.com.
