William McGinn

William McGinn, age 86, a resident of Hudson, Florida and a former resident of Tyngsborough, passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2024. 

Born in Lowell on July 1, 1937, he was a son of the late John L. and Rita G. (Jacques) (McGinn) Fontaine.

He was a United States Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War from 1972 until his honorable discharge in 1974.

He is survived by four sons, Michael McGinn, Douglas McGinn, Derick McGinn and William McGinn, Jr.; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a sister, Midge Poirier; an aunt, Mildred O’Donnell; and nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Committal Service with Military Honors on Wednesday, May 1, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.
