William Madigan, age 68, a resident of Lowell, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Susan (Schofield) Madigan.
Born in Lowell on April 27, 1956, he was a son of the late John and Florence (Landry) Madigan and was educated in the Wilmington School system.
William worked as a mechanic for 495 Truck & Auto for many years. He also had a passion for auto racing and owned his own race car and enjoyed racing at Hudson Speedway.
He was a simple man who enjoyed cars and sitting by the Merrimack River with a cup of coffee and talking with friends.
He is survived by three daughters, Dawnamarie Mackland-Rivera and her husband Dan; Renee Depaulis, Holly Murphy and Brianne Rainville; two sons, Derick Jensen and Randy De Paulis and his wife Megan; two sisters, Kathy Mele and her husband Charles Latulippe and Mary Leclair and her husband Raymond; three brothers, John Madigan, Mark Madigan and Richard Madigan; many grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Elizabeth Marsden and Thomas Madigan.
In accordance with his wishes, funeral services took place privately. Those wishing may make a donation in his memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
