William E. Berry, age 87, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on September 4, 2024. He was the husband of Patricia “Patty” (Davis) Berry, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.
William was born in Stoneham, MA on November 8, 1936 and was a son of the late Myron and Charlotte (Garland) Berry. He was educated in the Stoneham school system and received a bachelor’s degree from the Mass College of Art.
He was employed by the Chelmsford School Department as an art teacher at the high school and adult education program for many years.
In his spare time, William enjoyed gardening, painting, watching westerns, taking trips to Cape Cod, fishing and playing horseshoes.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are three sons, Lawrence Berry, Daniel Berry and his spouse Alicia and Eric Berry and his spouse Angela Noel; two grandchildren, Daniel and Vincent; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara Berry, Kathleen and Bernard Petruzziello, Margaret Stevens and Joan Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Berry and Richard Berry and brother-in-law, Tracy Davis.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Brockton VA Medical Ctr., Spinal Cord Division, 940 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.
