Walter F. Filamond III

Walter F. Filamond, III, age 71, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 27, 2026.  

Born in Boston, on August 13, 1954, he was a son of the late Walter F. Filamond, II and the late Shirley (McKinnon) Filamond and brother of the late Laura (McKinnon) Filamond. 

Walter was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Collanzo and Deborah Gallagher; six grandchildren, three great grandchild and two half-brothers, Steven Fillamond of Wakefield and Richard Filamond of Lowell; a half-sister, Susan (Filamond) Weir of Wrentham.

The family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date and his two daughters, Patricia Collanzo and Deborah Gallagher will provide the information and invitiations, once the plans are arranged.
