Victor J. Jacek

With his family by his side, Vic died of a heart attack on August 1, 2020, at Lowell General Hospital. He and his wife, Rae Ann (Raymond) Jacek, were making plans to celebrate their 34th anniversary this fall.
Victor attended St. Theresa Parochial and Edison Technical Schools, then earned both his BSEE and MSEE at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He continued his studies in Electrical Engineering right up to this day and was an expert in RF/Millimeter and Microwave Engineering. His career spanned nearly 50 years using this expertise in both the commercial and defense industries. He was currently employed at Leidos in Tewksbury as the subject matter expert for their airport security systems.
Family was most important to Vic and he was the proudest of Dads when it came to his sons: Victor Jr. (BS CS UMass Amherst) and his wife Lucy, Nicholas (PhD CS UMass Amherst) and his wife Christine, and Steven (BS ChE UMass Lowell) and his wife Jenna, all of Northborough. He enjoyed all family gatherings, time outside, camping, and was an active parishioner of St. Kathryn Parish in Hudson, NH.
Born in Rochester, New York on October 1, 1952, Victor was a son of the late Joseph W. and Mary (Palmer) Jacek. Surviving him in addition to his immediate family are his brothers, Thomas Jacek of Canton, MI and James Jacek of Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Jacek Jr. He is also survived by Joe’s wife and children: Lisa Jacek of Hilton, NY, Brian Jacek and his wife Alyssa of Rochester, NY and Amanda Truman and her husband Jack of Buffalo, NY.
Relatives and friends may call at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, August 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, August 5, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Kathryn’s Parish, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH. Committal Services will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Tyngsborough Scholarship Trust, P.O.
