Victor L. Chandonnet

DRACUT – Victor L. Chandonnet, age 89, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022.  He was the husband of the late Lorraine V. (Savary) Chandonnet. 

Born in Lowell on February 13, 1933, he was a son of the late Alfred and Laurenza (Chartrand) Chandonnet.   

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a store manager for Foodmaster Supermarkets.

Victor enjoyed collecting stamps, playing cards at the Dracut Senior Center and he loved reading.

He is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law, Michael V. and Cindy Chandonnet of KY, Robert L. and Bernice Chandonnet of RI and Richard L. and Diane Chandonnet of Hudson, NH; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane L. and Barry Moran of Dracut and Suzanne and Joseph Shaw of Dracut; a daughter-in-law, Elaine (Trudel) Chandonnet of Lowell; ten grandchildren, Daniel, Melissa, Nicole, Greg, Eric, Jonathan, Laura, Victoria, Adam and Aiden; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Laurette Kauker of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Florian “Joe” Chandonnet and Ethel Allard.    

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday morning, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, MA 01879. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 11:30 a.m. in Ste Marguerite D’Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
