Thomas A. Lantry, 76, of Hollis, NH passed away on August 3rd 2023, due to a battle with Creutefeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and fatal brain disease, surrounded by his loved ones.
Tom is survived by his love of many years Cindy Cameron, his son Michael Thomas Lantry II, his daughter Ashley Lantry, and his sister Joan Hayden.
Tom was born in Lowell, MA on October 20th 1946, and grew up in Tyngsborough, MA. He was predeceased by his father Michael T. Lantry and mother Louise A. Lantry.
He was a respected Vietnam Veteran who served his country in the Army under the 27th Engineer Battalion (Combat) from 1967 to 1968. He was a graduate of Northeastern University, proud owner of a seafood restaurant before he became a well-known Senior Mortgage Broker. He started his career in the mortgage industry in 1980 and became one of the VP's of First Eastern Mortgage. In 1997 he established American Heritage Mortgage.
Tom was well known for his quick wit and sense of humor, as well as his love for cooking and hosting gatherings. He was a member of the Newburyport Yacht Club and the Lowell Sportsman's Club. His hobbies included cooking, fishing, hunting, boating, dancing and gardening.
Friends and family are invited to attend a burial service at the Tyngsborough Memorial Cemetery at 87 Fletcher Dr., Tyngsborough, MA at 11am Friday, August 11th followed by a celebration of life at the Princeton Station in Chelmsford, MA at 12 noon.
