It is with sadness, love, and respect to announce that Thomas M. Tiano, age 79, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on January 22, 2026, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He died at peace, surrounded by his children. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Cheryl (Martel) Tiano, who left him for Heaven in 2023.
Born in Boston on May 20, 1946, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Gizzi) Tiano. Thomas spent his early years with his parents and extended family in East Boston, and was a graduate of Winthrop High School.
Later in life, Thomas was affectionately known as T. He had a passion for family, spending the weekends with his grandchildren. T was always active, and enjoyed taking long walks.
Prior to his retirement, T was a proud Teamster. He worked for many years as a warehouseman for Purity Supreme, and more recently, he assisted with maintenance at the Tyngsborough Council on Aging.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jason Palmer; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Tiano Jr. and his wife Rebecca, and Jack Tiano and his wife Jill; thirteen grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Roberta Tiano; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Avenue Tyngsborough. Burial will follow in the Lowell Cemetery in Lowell.
