Thomas W. DeRoche, age 72, a longtime resident of Pepperell, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Life Care Center in Billerica. He was the husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Jean) DeRoche, with whom he recently celebrated 47 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell, on October 31, 1952, he was the son of the late Wilfred E. and Alma (Sullivan) DeRoche. He was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Tom was an avid bass fisherman. He also enjoyed classic rock music, drag racing, discussing politics, and was a devoted fan to the New York Yankees. Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years as an industrial spray painter and as a school bus driver for the Dee Bus Company.
Surviving him in addition to his wife Peggy, are four children, Kimberly McAndrew and her Fiancé Jay Lorenz, Derek McAndrew and his wife Marie, Robin Borrazzo and her husband Rico and Philip T. DeRoche and his wife Katherine; eight grandchildren, Bryan Landry, Brandon Landry, Kathleen McAndrew, Sean McAndrew, Arianna Borrazzo, Quinn DeRoche, Sadie DeRoche and Alyssa Borrazzo; three great grandchildren, Miles and Monroe Sydnor, and Mona Grant; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Ken Remillard; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Victoria Jean, Karen Briere, Shirley Ralls and her husband Michael and Angela Green and her companion Glen Peterson and Edward “Ted” Jean and his companion Karen Goodrich-Birmingham; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother-in-law of the late, Gloria Jean, Henry Briere, and Ernest “Sunny” Jean.
Relatives and friends will be welcomed at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, MA on Friday, Aug. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Parish, 543 Bridge St., Lowell. Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
