Therese M. (Fitton) Cloutier

Therese M. (Fitton) Cloutier, age 91, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert D. Cloutier who predeceased her in 2022.

Born in Lowell on February 12, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Eva (Forest) Fitton.  She was a graduate of Notre Dame de Lourdes School and St. Joseph’s Girls High School.

Prior to her retirement, Therese worked at Kozlowski Law Office and earlier at Mobile Chemical in Lowell.

Therese enjoyed knitting and crocheting and always looked forward to family gatherings.  She was also a longtime parishioner of the former Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Church and the Parish of Saint Rita.

Surviving her are three sons, Gerard R. Cloutier and his wife Darlene of Dracut, Donald R. Cloutier and his husband Rev. David Hanks of Lowell and Normand G. Cloutier;  son-in -law Bill Comeau of Lowell; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie T. and John Aron of Upton, ME; ten grandchildren, Daniel and his wife Dawna Mackland-Rivera, Nicole and her husband Christopher Conderman, Craig and his wife Katherine Mackland-Rivera, Jason Cloutier, Kathryn and her husband Nicholas Campbell, Rachael Cloutier and her husband Jason Britton, Jennifer and her husband John Duquette, Matthew Cloutier and his wife Dr Mengyi Zha, Lisa and her husband Justin Hutzell and Michelle and her husband Sean Peregoy; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her brother Robert R and his wife Ruthanne (Ahearn) Fitton of Chelmsford.  

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough on Sunday, July 21, from 2 to 5 p.m.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen, 95 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsborough. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
