Theresa A. (Rivard) Daigle, age 89, a former resident of Lowell, MA and presently from Manchester, NH passed away peacefully at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH on February 3, 2022.
Born in Lowell, MA on December 31, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette Rivard.
Theresa attended Notre Dame de Lourdes School from first grade to third grade; St. Jeanne d’Arc School from third grade to eighth grade; and Lowell Technical High School. She participated in the school band.
She was a communicant of Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Church and St. Joseph Shrine for many years and participated in The SJA church CYO.
For 24 years, she worked as a Skiver for the former Robie Shoe Company in Lowell, MA. before working 20 years at Raytheon Company in North Andover, MA. as a Utility Assistant, until her retirement in 1994.
Terry was known for being a kind soul that was always willing to help anyone. She loved her family and friends dearly and unconditionally. She made an impact on everyone she was around. Her home was always a place you felt welcomed.
She was the happiest when she was working, spending time with her grandchildren, caring for others, caring for her pets, enjoying her home, hanging out her laundry, going out to eat, having parties, playing the card game “31” with family, playing “Pick 4” daily numbers lottery, going to bingo, watching television (especially the Hallmark station), seasonal camping at Angle Pond Grove, NH for 20 years with her family and friends, going on mystery rides and taking trips with her family. Her smile, her voice, her daily presence and her compassion, will be dearly missed.
Theresa is survived by her daughters, Dolores “Dolly” Lemay and her husband Richard of Manchester, NH whom she lived with for 3 years, and Jacqueline Hoey and her husband William of Nashua, NH. A granddaughter, Jessica (Lemay) Jordan of Manchester, NH and a grandson, William Hoey Jr. and his wife Ashley, and great grandchildren Liam and Adeline, that she will watch over for eternity.
A brother, Joseph (Emile) Rivard and his wife Elaine of Dunstable, MA; two sisters in law, Pearl Rivard and Odile Rivard, both of Lowell, MA, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Ernest G. Daigle who passed in 1986; a granddaughter Jenny A. Lemay who passed in 2006; and brothers Gilbert Rivard and his wife Germaine; Norman Rivard and Roland Rivard.
Theresa “Terry” will be deeply missed by all of her family, friends, and her cat Misty.
According to her wishes, visitation will be private for family members that have been invited.
