Tanya Lee Tobin, age 49, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, passed away on October 23, 2024, at Lahey Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lowell on August 9, 1975, beloved daughter of Steven M. and Cheryl A. (Brooks) Tobin, and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Technical High School.
After graduation, she was employed as a certified nurse’s assistant and then began a career as a medical coder and biller, spending most of her career at IWP.
Tanya was a fun-loving, beautiful soul who was the life of the party and enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with friends. She was an avid sports fan, always cheering on her beloved New England teams. She loved holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween; The Nightmare before Christmas was one of her favorite movies. Tanya was also proud to be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Surviving her in addition to her parents are her sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Kevin Frechette; her spouse, Natasha Briggs; her daughter, Drusilla Briggs; a special niece, Nina Hernandez; her favorite Auntie Doe and loving aunts and uncles including David Brooks, Rick Cote, Diane St.Onge, Mary O’Donnell and Frank and Marla Tobin; as well as many other beloved family members, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Road, Lowell. Burial will be private.
