Steven R. Lavers, age 77, a resident of Derry, New Hampshire passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 25, 2023 in Portsmouth, NH.
He was born on October 31, 1945 in Quincy, MA, a son of the late Robert and Mildred (Boudreau) Lavers and was a graduate of Quincy High School class of 1964.
He then enlisted into the U.S. Navy, where he served four years aboard the USS Bainbridge in Norfolk, VA.
After serving in the Navy he matriculated at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where he received his undergraduate degree in Accounting.
Steven then began his career at the Mr. Donut Corporation as an accountant.
While working he attended Babson College, where he received his M.B.A. Steve then worked in a private accounting firm for a few years before starting his own business, a business machine/office supply company in Derry N.H. After closing his store, Steve pursued his passion of buying and selling antiques. He enjoyed attending and working flea markets, antique workshops and events. A passion he pursued until the end.
He is survived by his daughter Dustine Puma and her husband Michael Puma and granddaughters Maya and Samantha Puma all of Tyngsborough, MA; his brother and sister-in-law, Bryan D. and Christine T. Lavers of Katy Texas; a niece, Jennifer Lavers Scholz and her husband Blake Scholz of Richards, TX; and a nephew, Tim B. Lavers and his wife Claire Lavers of Cypress, TX.
Steve will be missed by his loving family.
