Stephen T. Urban

Stephen T. Urban, age 63, a resident of Charlestown, MA passed away at Mass General Hospital on Friday, October 17, 2025, with his daughter’s by his side.

Born in Lowell, on May 31, 1962, he was a son of the late John and Lillian (O’Connor) Urban.  He was raised and educated in Chelmsford and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a chocolate maker for the Taza Chocolate Company in Boston.

Steve enjoyed the simple things in life, taking rides and listening to music, but above all his daughters were his world and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Surviving him in addition to his daughters, Courtney and Stephanie are a sister, Kathy Urban; a brother, John Urban; his former spouse, Janice (Smith) Urban; mother-in-law, Leona Smith; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed and Allison Smith; dear friends, Deryl Benoit and Dumy Johnson; and his godchild, Eric Johnson; his furry grandchildren, Fudge and Milly; and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr, Tyngsborough, on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m.
