Stephen C. Kendig, age 52, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025 at his home, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Kellie J. (Hirtle) Kendig, with whom he recently celebrated 25 years of marriage.
He was born in Winchester, MA on September 2, 1973 and was a son of the late Rea S. and Mary Rose (Henry) Kendig. He was a graduate of Burlington High School. Stephen was a stone mason and a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 3.
Stephen was an amazing father, an avid sports fan, coached basketball and baseball and always looked forward to Sunday fun days. He loved BMX racing with his boys, watching NASCAR and the NE Patriots, spending quality time with family and a good ice cream sundae.
Surviving him in addition to his wife Kellie, are his two sons, Tyler and Ryan; Ryan’s significant other, Sammy; a bonus daughter, Gianna; two sisters, Cyndie Mantia and her husband Robert and Stephanie Kendig; a brother, Rea S. “Bud” Kendig III; his mother-in-law, Pamela Baptista; sister-in-law, Brianna Coady and her husband Patrick Coady; Betty Densmore (Madre) and their son Mark; preceded by Steve’s best friend, Kevin, and Stephen Densmore (Padre); several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, best bud Addie, and his Canadian family.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at https://www.dana-farber.org/
