Roy Lundstedt, Sr. Obituary

Roy E. Lundstedt Sr., age 92, a resident of Lowell, passed away after a period of declining health, at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 4, 2021.  He was the loving husband of Edith L. Born in Lowell on October 27, 1928, he was a son of the late Emil and Hilma (Holmlund) Lundstedt. He was educated in the Lowell School system and had attended Lowell Trade School.

He was a longtime active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Chelmsford.

Roy was employed as an auto mechanic and a property manager for John McGoohan for many years. After retirement, his favorite hobby was selling hot dogs and his famous "Pigs in a Blanket" at fairs and festivals which led to his family business as a concessionaire and showman, who along with his family traveled with a carnival and the circus.

He enjoyed the circus, carnivals, racing midget race cars and sitting down with family and friends to talk and tell stories.

Roy was involved with the 4-H in Middlesex County for several years as a leader and fair director.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 87 and a former member of the North East Midget Racing Association, the Atlantic Coast Old Timers Racing Association and the Circus Fans of America.
