Robert Tremblay Obituary

Robert Joseph Tremblay, 66, passed away peacefully on December 24, surrounded by the love of his family.

Robert was the devoted husband and best friend of Lisa (Shipley) Tremblay, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories—many of them marked by Robert’s unmistakable laugh a sound that could fill a room and made it impossible not to smile along with him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Kathleen Tremblay; his siblings Linda, John, Kevin, Gus Jr., and Brian; and his brother-in-law, Chuck.  He was predeceased by his father, Gaston Tremblay, and his sister, Michele Tremblay.

Robert shared a close and cherished friendship with Brian St. Louis, one that deepened over the years. Together, they enjoyed many memorable outings, including many trips to Bruins games.

Robert was a proud and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews who brought him great joy: Hailey, Brandon and Michael; Gus and Sammy; Michael and Phillip; Josh and Ben; Michele; Beau and Devon. He cherished time spent with them, often laughing the loudest in the room, his joy contagious and genuine.

Robert found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. He loved fishing, where he felt most at peace, and his family holds many fond memories of waterskiing and spending time together on his speedboat.

He and Lisa enjoyed going out to eat, always on the hunt for a new restaurant with great food. A talented cook himself, Robert took pride in preparing meals for those he loved, often pairing good food with good humor and an easy laugh.

A lifelong baseball fan, Robert was especially devoted to the Boston Red Sox and attended games whenever he could. He also enjoyed being a softball umpire, a role that brought him both fun and connection to the game. Over the years, Robert ran a local deli shop and, in more recent years, worked as a chauffeur, taking pride in his work and enjoying the opportunity to travel to new places.

Robert leaves behind a family who will forever carry pieces of him—his determination, his humor, his stubborn strength, and the sound of his laugh that will echo in their hearts for years to come. Though he is no longer with us in body, he remains present in the memories we hold close and in the love and strength he passed on. In that way, he will always be here.

According to his wishes, funeral services will be held privately.
