Robert L. Deschenes

Robert L. Deschenes, age 63, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Joanne (Murray) Deschenes of Tyngsborough and the late Maurice Deschenes who died in 1996.

He was born in Lowell on May 21, 1961, attended Tyngsborough Schools and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Technical High School where he studied carpentry.  Robert was a member of the Carpenters Union for over 33 years before his retirement. 

He was a resident of Long Pond for most of his life, enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming and snowmobiling.  But his greatest love and passion was his beautiful Harley Davidson motorcycle.  In fact, after retirement he began driving a truck which took him throughout the USA and he made sure to collect a Harley Davidson shirt from every state.

Surviving Robert in addition to his mother are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Atty. Douglas Deschenes and his wife Donna and Steven Deschenes and his companion Kerry Owens; his godchild, Austin Deschenes and his companion Molly McCreery; his nieces and nephew, Lindsey Belknap and her husband Dan, Evan Deschenes and his wife Julianna, and Alyssa Deschenes; his great niece and nephews, Milo, Ruby and Max Belknap, and Remington Deschenes.  Also two wonderful friends, who helped Robert in many ways, Dennis Morrow and Frank Dion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsborough.  Graveside Committal Services will follow in Tyngsborough Memorial Cemetery.
