Robert P. “Bob” Briere, age 67, a resident of Lowell, passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, with his family by his side.
Born in Lowell, on October 7, 1958, he was the youngest son of the late Henry and Lillian (Boutin) Briere.
Robert was an avid sports fan who loved his New England teams. Bob loved to share his sports knowledge and really enjoyed his vast collection of baseball cards that spanned decades.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator for Sonoco Products.
Surviving him are a sister, Pauline M. Briere; a sister-in-law, Karen Briere; a niece, Jen Briere and her spouse Doug Nolin; two nephews, Jon Briere and his partner Kellie Roy, and James Briere and his spouse Jenn Burgess; and several great nephews and a great niece who were very special to him. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother Henry R. Briere.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, on Monday, Feb. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Parish, 543 Bridge St., Lowell. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at http://www.stjude.org
