Rita M. Bellerose

TYNGSBOROUGH – Rita M. (Seavey) Bellerose, age 90, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on April 29, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. R. Bellerose.

Born in Lowell on May 2, 1931, she was a daughter of the late D. Frederick and Florence (Baril) Seavey. She was a graduate of Lowell High School. Rita was a seamstress in the Lowell fabric mills and later worked at Raytheon, from where she retired.  

Rita enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing and dancing with her beloved Louie.

She is survived by her step children, Alfred Bellerose and his wife Sheryl of Tyngsborough, Richard Bellerose and his wife Brenda of Nashua and Sandra Carlin and her husband Charles of Sanford, ME; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She was also the sister of the late Ruth A. Carpentier and step mother of the late Brian Bellerose.

According to her wishes, there will be no visitation.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 95 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsborough, MA.  Graveside services will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation (alzfdn.org).  For online condolences or directions, please visit www.tyngsboroughfuneralhome.com.
