Reginald J. “Reggie” Dove, age 61, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 5, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Carol J. (Chapman) Dove, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on September 3, 1961, he was the son of Ivan Dove Jr. and Nancy (Gauthier) Dove. He was educated in the Tyngsborough School system and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School.
Reggie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, ice fishing and snowmobiling to name a few and was also a longtime member of the Tyngsboro Sportsmen’s Club.
He was the hard working, talented “go-to” person for all, who was also the owner and operator of R.D. Masonry Inc.
Reggie loved his family and friends and always looked forward to spending time with them in his museum. He has certainly left behind a village of many crushed people.
Surviving him in addition to his wife Carol are his son, Adam Dove and his fiancé Samantha O’Wril of Tyngsborough; his father, Ivan Dove Jr and his life partner Lynne Ramsay of Methuen; his mother Nancy (Gauthier) Dove of Chelmsford; a brother, Eric Dove of Tyngsborough; two sisters, Virginia Dove of Salem, NH and Kimberly Dove and her longtime companion, Rich Beauchesne of N. Chelmsford; his father-in-law, Ben Chapman of Tyngsborough; and his two sisters-in-law Linda Bowley of Tewksbury; and Marie Murphy and her husband Dan Murphy of Pelham, NH. Reggie is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, on Friday, Jan. 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. with a Funeral Home service to take place at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in his memory to a charity of your choice.
