Pauline Walsh Finnegan
Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Pauline W. Finnegan, age 90, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 16, 2023, with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Finnegan, with whom she had shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.
She was born in Portland, Maine on August 6, 1933, the daughter of the late William and Virginia (Gray) Walsh.
Pauline was educated in the South Portland, Maine school system and had a love of writing children’s stories and her own memoirs.
She was a loving homemaker for many years but later became part of the Wang Laboratories sales’ team.
Pauline was an avid fan of golf. She played in many leagues and tournaments especially at her home course in Hanes City, Florida. She enjoyed reading, traveling, relaxing at the beach and socializing with friends at the Tyngsborough Senior Center. Polly and Bob resided in Chelmsford for 40 years and enjoyed countless good times with their wonderful neighbors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family; and she would light up as soon as she saw her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her daughter Bethany and husband Joseph Keohane, her daughter Kerry Watson, her son Peter Finnegan and his wife Sharon and the late son Robert B. Finnegan and son-in-law Dave Roberts: twelve grandchildren, Joseph Keohane and his wife Andrea, Taryn Terwilliger and her husband Kevin, Peter Finnegan and his wife Kate, Ryan Finnegan and his wife Brittney, Brandon Watson, Chelsey Watson, Robert Keohane and his wife Erica, Timothy Finnegan and his wife Alicia, Matthew Finnegan, Leah Finnegan, Gregory Keohane and his wife MaryKate and Rory Finnegan; fifteen great grandchildren Joey, Kevin, James, Mason, Olivia, Charlie, Blair, Bobby, Jack, Nora, Charlotte, Trey, Cameron, Madeline and Riley.
Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough. A Funeral Home service will take place immediately following at 11:30 a.m. Those attending the services are welcome to dress in golf casual attire to pay tribute to Pauline and her love for golf.
