Paul C. Dragoli
TYNGSBOROUGH – Paul C. “Benny” Dragoli, age 78, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021. He had his beloved wife Arlene M. (Sarantakis) Dragoli of 51 years and his beloved family by his side.
Born in New London, CT, on October 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Guerrino and Elizabeth M. (DiPucchio) Dragoli.
As a young man, Benny was a heavyweight boxer for the Golden Gloves. With a strong compassion for horses he became an owner and Trainer at the Rockingham Park and Suffolk Downs racetracks. Prior to his retirement, he worked at National Carpet as a carpet installer for many years.
Benny’s wife and his family meant the world to him and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving him in addition to his wife Arlene are three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bernardine Birch of Worcester, Ersilia O’Toole and her husband Michael of Bedford, NH and Ovidia Dragoli and her partner Timothy Hall of Nashua, NH; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Diane Sarantakis. Patricia Sarantakis of Tyngsborough and Donna and James Furtado of Saugus; several nieces and nephews that he loved as if they were his own. He was also the brother-in-law of the late Francis Birch.
According to his wishes, there will be no Funeral Services. Those wishing to honor Paul may donate in his memory to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
