Normand G. Tanguay

Normand G. Tanguay, age 65, passed peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 26, 2024. He was born on September 3, 1958 a son to the late Henry Tanguay and Claire (Gagnon) Tanguay. He lived in the Pawtucketville area of Lowell the majority of his life. As a graduate of the former St. Jeanne D’Arc grammar school and Greater Lowell Regional Vocational school with a background in Automotive, he spent the majority of his working years until retirement at Raytheon as a sheet metal operator. Norm was a friend to many and was known to live life to the fullest. Some will remember his stories and his sense of humor; many will remember his laugh for years to come! He loved the outdoors in any season. Skiing on snow or water, fishing on the lake, ocean or ice, hunting, camping… no matter the season he was sure to be having fun in it. From vehicles he salvaged to finding items that caught his eye on the curb to turn into masterpieces, there was always something to work on and to make better!  He always had fun cars, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles (most of which he put together or brought back to life) and loved to go full throttle with all of them. Norm was a jack of all trades and was known to tinker on a wide variety of projects. To many of those who knew him best “Norm” was synonymous with Fun!

He is survived by his daughter Crystal Crane and her family; his brother Denis Tanguay and his wife Sue Tanguay; his niece Nicole Gilliam and her family and nephews Gregg Tanguay and Scott Tanguay and their families, along with many cousins and friends that are considered family. Although he no longer walks with us, he will bring a smile to many people’s faces when they think of the memories they shared with him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough.  Funeral services will be held privately.
