Norman “Pop” Tardiff
Norman “Pop” H.F. Tardiff, age 90, a longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. He was the beloved husband of Doris T. (Perron) Tardiff to whom he was married for over 69 years.
Born in Lowell on July 8, 1931, he was the son of the late Henri and Jeannette (Tellier) Tardiff. He graduated from local schools, enlisted in the National Guard in 1951, serving 34 years and reaching the level of Command Sergeant Major before his retirement. He worked for many years at Martin’s Variety, and he also worked at Wang Laboratories.
Norman was a man of great faith. He was a communicant of the former Ste Jeanne d’Arc Church, where he enjoyed working at their weekly bingo as well as being a leader in Boy Scout Troop #7.
Norman loved his family and cherished his visits with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife, Doris are four children, Linda Tardiff and her husband Claude, Norman Tardiff and his wife Diane, Gail Tardiff and Lisa Hall and her husband Glenn; his 12 grandchildren, Matthew Dodier and his wife Hannah, Sarah Dodier, Marc Tardiff and his wife Christy, Nicole Tardiff, David Tardiff and his wife Kaleigh, Jason Sigman and his wife Jessica, Carolyn Dozois, Kristen Lawler and her husband Ben, Jonathan Hall, Melissa Tardiff, Dan Tardiff and his wife Emily, and Amy Tardiff; nine great grandchildren, Lucille Dodier, Brooks and Andrew Tardiff, Harrison and Jackson Tardiff, Hailey and Jacob Sigman, and Victoria and Patrick Dozois; a brother-in-law, Robert Perron and his wife Ena; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Ralls and Cecile Perron; and many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family would like to thank all his caregivers, including Amorily Peralta, and all the doctors and nurses at Lowell General Hospital and High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough. His Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home immediately following at 12 noon. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Those attending the services will be required to wear a face mask. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in his memory to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O.
