Nancy S. Gavlik, age 77, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away at her home, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Richard P. Gavlik, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on March 19, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Pauline (Lecuyer) Muldoon. She was educated in the Lowell School system and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Nancy then attended Greater Lowell Technical School where she received her LPN and then became a registered nurse after graduating from Rivier University.
Throughout her nursing career, Nancy worked in various roles in the healthcare industry.
Nancy had a passion for horses that began at a young age. She grew up with racehorses and spent much time with her family at the Rockingham race track. Later on in life, she began western riding and reining and won many competitions. Nancy loved spending time with family and friends and looked forward to gatherings.
Surviving her in addition to her husband Richard are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Victoria Gavlik; a daughter, Marlene Gavlik; her granddaughter, Missy Gavlik; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Frederick and Terry Gavlik, Joyce and Darryl Webb and Nancy Milnes; a sister, Kathy; and nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John and Francis Muldoon.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough, on Wednesday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Her Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home immediately following at 12 noon. Burial in Tyngsborough Memorial Cemetery.
