Michael L. “Mike” Roth, Sr., age 87, a longtime resident of Hudson, NH, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Janet E. (Monbleau) Roth, with whom he shared over 43 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on March 24, 1938, he was a son of the late Michael A. and Mary A. (Stagnone) Roth. He was raised and educated in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High school. He then served in the Army National Guard.
Mike worked as a millwright for Raytheon Co. for over 45 years. He was a charter member and lifetime member of the Dunstable Tyngsborough Lions Club, and had served in many capacities over the years, including president.
He was an avid golfer and golf enthusiast; he looked forward to traveling, playing in the Mission Pointe Community cribbage league and of course, enjoying a good cigar.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife Janet, are five children, Pauline “Penny” Roth and her partner, Rick Landry, Deborah Roth, Michael L. Roth, Jr., Stephen Roth and Laura Ward and her husband Joseph “JJ” Ward; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Roth and his fiancée Lauren Ford, Alexandra Colon, Bryant Shaw, Kassey Cameron and her husband Eric, Ashlyn Roth, Morgan Roth, Michael Roth and Travis Genikos; two great grandchildren, Aryia and Cooper Cameron; a brother, Mark Roth; three sisters, Barbara Birchenough and her husband Fred, Susan Birrow and Maryann Hall; his mother-in-law, Laurette Kauker; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Roth, Elaine Hudon and Adele “Dee” Martin; a brother-in-law, Roland W. Martin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother Gerald Roth.
Family and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, on Monday, Oct. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mike’s name to the Dunstable Tyngsborough Lions Club, P.O. Box 93, Tyngsborough, MA 01879.
