Michael O’Connor, age 67, a resident of Pepperell, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Deborah M. (Law) O’Connor, with whom he shared over 41 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on May 14, 1957, he was a son of the late William F. and Mary F. (Kelly) O’Connor, Jr. He was educated in the Chelmsford school system before his family moved to Concord NH. He was a graduate of Concord High School and then attended Plymouth State College.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed in several capacities at Textron, Teredyne, and Amphenol. After his retirement, Mike worked seasonally at the former Townsend Ridge Golf Club.
Michael was an avid fly fisherman and a master fly tier; he enjoyed playing golf, woodworking and was a fan of the Boston sports teams; but his favorite pastime was spending a quiet night at home with his family and friends. He was also a longtime member of the Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen in Tyngsborough.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife Deb are his siblings, William F. O’Connor III and his wife Elisa and MaryEllen J. Murphy and her husband Gary; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Douglas Law Jr., Donna Hebert and her husband Eric, Christine Jodry and her husband Greg and Kimberly Ward and her husband Eric; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough on Friday, Sept. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 12 noon at the Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen, 95 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsborough. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation to a charity of your choice.
