Michael G. Gagnon, a Principal Field Service Specialist for Raytheon, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the age of 59, while at his home in New Jersey.
Michael is survived by his parents, Gerard L. and Claudette (Dumais) M. Gagnon; by his two sisters, Constance Gagnon and Karen Gagnon-Robidas both of Lowell, MA; three brothers, Andre Gagnon of Lowell, MA, Raymond Gagnon of Dracut, MA, and Robert Gagnon of Hollis, NH. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kaitlin & Kyle Smith, Jeremy & Nichole Robidas of Lowell, MA, Kristina & Amanda Gagnon of Chelmsford, MA, Nicholas & Samuel Gagnon of Beverly, MA, Dylan Gagnon of Lowell, MA; and his godchildren, Amanda Gagnon & Jacques Thibodeau.
Michael was born on January 30, 1964. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, gardening, taking bike rides and walking. He spent many years traveling overseas, Michael's first assignment overseas was in 1997 to the Marshall Islands, and following assignments were in the Middle East; Diego Garcia, Afghanistan, Iran and The Philippines and a tour in Greenland for Raytheon.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Wednesday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a Prayer Service in the Funeral Home at noontime. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org
