Michael A. Dougherty, age 73, a resident of Methuen, MA passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
Born in Oakland, CA on December 5, 1949, he was a son of the late Donald C. and Barbara Marie (Ohnimus) Dougherty.
Michael earned a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Denver and completed classes towards a MBA at University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
Many remember Michael as a great boss as he and his wife Donna launched the medical software company Professional Support Incorporated. For decades they ran PSI and had the privilege of employing wonderful people from the Merrimack Valley. His commitment to building meaningful relationships with his clients and employees was tangible.
Michael enjoyed sports, business; entrepreneurship and educating others on the dynamics of starting their own businesses. Michael enjoyed all kinds of music, but most especially jazz and church worship music. He was a drummer and cherished the opportunity to play drums in his local church as well as participate in a local band. He was a man of great faith and had a deep love for Jesus. His family was his world, and he was always so proud of their accomplishments and reminded them of this often.
He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Jessica O’Neil and her husband Greg, Asheley Clark and her husband Judah, Lucas Dougherty and his wife Michelle; eight grandchildren, Julianna, Bella, Solomon, Rylan, Ava, Ezra, Leah and Lincoln; his former spouse, Donna Dougherty; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vicki and Tom Logsdon and Christine and Buddy Nuanez; also nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was also the brother of the late Colleen Davis and the late Patrick Dougherty.
All are welcome to attend visiting hours on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. at the Crossway Christian Church, 503 Main Dunstable Rd., Nashua, NH. Burial will be held privately in the Edson Cemetery, Lowell.
