Mary P. Poulton

Mary P. (Baxter) (Cancel) Poulton, age 79, a resident of Lowell and formerly of Dracut, passed away on October 30, 2021 at the Westford House. She was the wife of the late Edward Poulton.   

Born in Lowell on November 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (McKinnon) Baxter.  She was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School.  

Mary was a very spiritual woman, whom was passionate about being a Christian and sharing the Lord’s good news.

She enjoyed writing, cooking, theater and the arts, but what was most important to Mary was her family, especially during the holiday season. 

She is survived by three daughters, Maryjoyce Cancel of Concord, NH, Peggyjo “PJ” Cancel of Lowell, MA and Summer Cancel and her longtime companion Paul McWhinnie of Melrose, MA; a daughter-in-law, Jaime McNamarra;  grandchildren, Secret Lussier and her husband Shawn, Zachary McNamara and his wife Julia, Amanda Connors and her husband Joseph, George Beaudette and his wife Amanda, Nicholas Beaudette and Hannah Beaudette and her husband Tyler, Chelsea McCool, Cheyenne Kimball, Austin Kimball, Cassie Nuernberg, Jennifer Nuernberg, Mandi Nuernberg and Matthew Nuernberg; great grandchildren, Brittney Connors, Jeremy Connors, Patience Connors, Evelynn Connors, Addyson Beaudette, Elyse Beaudette, Bailey Lussier, and Leah Lussier. She was also the mother of the late Ronald McNamarra who passed in August and the former wife of the late Pedro Cancel.
