TEWKSBURY – Marilyn L. (Holcomb) Santamour, age 83, a resident of Tewksbury and a former resident of Tyngsborough, passed away with family by her side on Monday, April 4, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Edgar W. Santamour Jr. who died in 1995 and with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on July 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Alma (McKittrick) Holcomb. She was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1956 and attended the University of New Hampshire.
For many years, Marilyn worked at Caddell and Byers and then at the Lowell Five, where she was secretary to the President until her retirement in 2000.
Along with her husband she was very active at Calvary Baptist Church, serving on various committees and singing in the church choir for many years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and after going through the chairs was appointed a state officer.
Marilyn enjoyed traveling with friends, singing in choral groups and her favorite was dancing in music shows. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family who meant the world to her, and her many wonderful friends.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Lynne E. and Fred R. Hubley of Bradford, NH and Marcia L. and Garry K. Long of Bonita Springs, FL; five grandchildren, Jared A. Long, Craig W. Long, Evan R. Long and his wife Kaitlin, Matthew E. Hubley and Taryn M. Hubley; and two great grandchildren, Eleanor S. Long and Elizabeth M. Long. She is also survived by two beloved step sisters, Alice Macallister and her husband Burt and Carol Elden; and her honorary daughter; Karen E. Pica of Lowell.
Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, April 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday morning, at 10 o'clock at the Calvary Baptist Church, 60 Hastings St., Lowell. Committal Services will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
