Marie C. Wagner
Marie C. (Peloquin) Wagner, age 78, a longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Wagner who died on June 13, 2020 just shy of their 57th wedding anniversary.
Born in Lowell, on June 13, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Leonel S. and Claire C. (Desruisseaux) Peloquin. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Marie enjoyed cross stitching, playing bingo and cards, and she always enjoyed preparing meals for her many family gatherings. From her Annual Clambakes to her O’Wagner St Patricks celebration, there was always an extra plate at the table for anyone that stopped by.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary by UMASS Lowell for over twenty six years and prior to that she had worked as a legal secretary for the former Bourgeois Law firm.
Surviving are her children and their wives Raymond R. and Christine (Lagasse) Wagner of Hudson, NH, Michael P. and Darlene (Gagnon) Wagner of Oxford, MA; Anne-Marie C. Wagner and Donna (Brown) of Lowell; Grandchildren Derek and his partner Amy, Leanne Korb and her husband Dan, Emily Greene and her husband Ben, Kayla, Megan and her fiancé Anthony Lange, Brett and his partner Brianne Booth, Ian, Brittany Vieira and her husband Justin and Jaelyn; great grandchildren, Madisyn, Levi, Daniel, Wyatt, Warren, Eden and a seventh due in April. Two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jean and Lorna Peloquin of Clinton, MA and Louis and Wendy Peloquin of Billerica; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Michelle and Hayden Anderson of Dracut and Cecile and Leo Paquin of Dracut; her in-laws Paul Wagner of FL and Phillippe and Jeannette Wagner of Wells, ME, Lucille Wagner of FL, Irene Wagner of Chelmsford and Irene Wagner of Tyngsborough; also many nieces and nephews and a dear friend Pauline Turcotte of Lowell.
She was also the mother of the late Daniel J. Wagner who passed in 2018, sister-in-law of the late Richard Wagner, Roland Wagner, Normand Wagner, Albert Wagner, Pauline Wagner and Maryann Wagner.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough on Sunday, November 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. Funeral Monday November 15 with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. John’s the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex St., North Chelmsford. Committal Prayers will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Those attending the services will be required to wear a mask.
