Marie L. (Allard) Provost

Marie L. (Allard) Provost, age 71, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away peacefully at her home on November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Richard H. Provost, with whom she shared over 53 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell on February 7, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Louis A. and Ethel (Chandonnet) Allard. Marie was educated in the Lowell school system and was a proud graduate of Lowell High School.

Marie devoted her life to her family. She loved reading novels, movies, and playing card games. She especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. She also enjoyed many breakfasts spent with her sisters. 

In addition to her loving husband Richard, Marie is survived by her three children: Chad Provost, Gayle O’Connell and her husband Sean, and Amy Provost and her partner Carlos; seven grandchildren: Arianna and her partner Kevin, Luis and his fiancé Kelsey, Dimitri, Hannah and her husband Jon, Jillian, Leah, and Jake; and two great-grandchildren: Kayden and Maddox.

She also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, David and Celeste Allard; her sisters, Evelyn White, Denise and her husband Robert Casper, and Ethel Allard; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Louis Allard, Eddie Allard, and Mark Allard.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough, on Saturday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
