Margaret “Peggy” A. (Stone) Giguere, age 79, a longtime Tyngsborough resident passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She was the remarkable beloved wife of the late Ronald J. Giguere.
Born in Methuen on September 8, 1944, she was a daughter of the (late) Wesley and (late) Gladys Stone.
Survivors include, two daughters, Sandra and (late) George Pentedemos of Tyngsboro and Kathleen and John Guthrie of Tyngsboro; two sons, Thomas Giguere of Hudson NH; and William and Connie Giguere of Tennessee; a sister, Karen Loring of New York; a brother, James Angers and his wife Lois of Colorado; a brother-in-law Dick Emond of Haverhill, MA; and three beloved step sisters, Nancy, Paula and Sandra.
She was predeceased by the beloved step-father William Chute; two sisters, Beverly Emond of Haverhill, MA and Florence Fahey of Salisbury, MA.
For many years, Peggy was a homemaker she enjoyed (worshipped) her life of caring and raising nine grandchildren; Jennifer, Stephanie, Sherri, Garrett, Krista, Heather, Amanda, Julianna, Thomas Jr., along with five great grandchildren; Haleigh, Abigail, Chloe, Kaida and Logan. She loved many family nieces, nephews as was the many friends and their families along the way.
She enjoyed making cakes for every occasion, crocheting family blankets, slippers, gloves and hats. She also spent her time completing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, puzzle making with her friends. She enjoyed scenic drives to the mountains and trips to the beach.
Margaret was also active in her community and for over ten years she was a member of the Tyngsborough Housing Authority.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Tufts Health Medicine and Hospice Care of Lowell General Hospital for their support and kindness towards Peggy and her family.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
