Luz Celenia Malave Colon “Tity”, age 73, a resident of Lowell, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, after a brief illness.
She was born in Bo. Chun Chin, Guayama, Puerto Rico on November 1, 1950, a daughter of the late Julio Malave Zayas and Daria Colon Borrero.
Luz loved raising her family and spending time with her 10 children, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Luz enjoyed reading the Holy Bible and listening to gospels.
She is survived by ten children, Luz Celenia Lebron and husband Frank Gonzalez, Ramon Lebron-Malave, Fidel Lebron and wife Jacqueline, Wanda Lebron and husband Andres Perez, Nelson Lebron, Sylvia Lebron, Samuel Lebron and wife Jenny, Diana Lebron, Alexander Lebron and wife Marisol Salva, and Daria Lebron; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Julio Malave Colon and wife Dominga Gonzalez, and Manuel Malave Colon and wife Lourdes Torres, a sister, Ada Minda Vega Colon and husband Roberto Lebron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Nereida Malave Colon.
Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell, MA.
