Kenneth E. Goodin, age 71, of Lowell, MA passed away suddenly at his home on February 26, 2026. Born in Lowell on January 3, 1955, he was a son of the late Earl A. and Estelle M. (Dubuc) Goodin. He was a graduate of Lowell High School and was employed for many years at Peartree Office Furniture.
Ken was an elite long distance runner who completed many Boston Marathons, the New York City Marathon and the Berlin Marathon. He ran with grit and endurance, the attributes he exhibited in his daily life. He led a life of kindness, faith, integrity and compassion. Ken’s contagious smile endeared him to many. He particularly enjoyed running miles along the Merrimack River when training. He was a longtime member of the Greater Lowell Road Runners and was indicted into the GLRR Hall of fame in 2019.
Ken is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law. David Goodin, Gerard Goodin and Carol Goodin, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Diane Forman, Estelle Weiner and Jerold Weiner as well as many beloved nephews, a niece, cousins and dear friends.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Drive Tyngsborough, MA. His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Parish of St. Mary Magdalen, 95 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsborough, MA. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA
