Kenneth J. Gately, age 63, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 26, 2025 at his home following a very brief illness.
Born in Norwood, MA on June 14, 1962, Ken was the son of Adele M. (Barry) Gray and the late Kenneth T. Gately. He was educated in the Norwood school system and a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1980. He then attended North Adams State College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
He was employed as a dispatcher for Boyle Transportation in Billerica.
Ken was an avid hiker and craft beer aficionado and usually stopped at a local brewery after a hike. Ken also enjoyed following the Red Sox and playing video games.
Surviving him, in addition to his mother Adele, are two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Karen Fernandez and her husband Juan and Ellen Olizarowicz and her husband Stephen. Ken is also survived by two nephews, Rafael and Tomas Fernandez.
Services are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date.
