Kaleigh “Kay” E. Rainone
It is with heavy hearts and many tears that Dean and Colleen announce the passing of their daughter, Kaleigh, at the young age of 20.
Kay was born in Lowell on June 14, 2001 and received her angel wings on December 7, 2021 and will forever be in the hearts of her parents and sister, Ariana.
She was educated in the Lowell school system and was currently attending the Life Skills program at Lowell High School.
Kay was always happy and content and so very easy to please. She looked forward to walks with her family and relaxing on "her sofa", in her jammies, with her dog and cat at her side . Although Kay never spoke a word, she had a smile that lit up the room and the gift of making all your worries go away.
Kay loved removing any hat her dad was wearing, going to school to see her teachers and friends and watching Baby Einstein on her IPad. She had the opportunity to travel to Florida with the Make-A-Wish foundation, where she created so many wonderful memories.
Surviving her in addition to her parents and sister are her grandmother, Donna Eklund of Lowell; her aunts and uncles, Sue Rainone and Greg Licata of Topsfield, Lena Rainone and Rick Fay of Saugus, Heather Jaynes of Lowell, Robert Jaynes of Lowell and John Morrell of Lowell; and several cousins and many dear friends.
She was also the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Carolyn Rainone.
Kay’s family wishes to acknowledge the doctors, nurses and staff from Greater Lowell Pediatrics, especially "her "nurse Bev, Boston Children’s Hospital, Lowell High School, and Care Dimensions for the exceptional care provided to Kay.
Colleen and Dean also wish to thank all their family and friends for their continued support and a special thank you to Betty Enwright, Crystal Figueroa and Jennifer Clark for always being there.
Relatives and Friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Tuesday, December 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. Her Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Westlawn II Cemetery.
