Joseph Pica Obituary

Joseph G. Pica, age 60, a resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 10, 2024, with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of Karen (Bennett) Pica, with whom he recently celebrated 34 years of marriage.

He was born in Everett on May 29, 1963, a son of Dolores (LoCicero) Pica and the late Gabriel J. Pica.  He was raised in Lexington and was a graduate of Minuteman High School.

Joe was employed by Pepsi Co. as a merchandiser for many years.  He loved working at Pepsi and cherished the relationships he had with his coworkers.

Surviving him in addition to his wife and mother are two sons, Jonathan Pica and Stephen Pica and his fiancée Christina Demers; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Kristie Pica; a sister and brother-in-law, Laura Kirk and her husband Jeff; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Beverly and Tony Cruz, Brenda and Robert Mignone, Kelliann and David Burns and Keith Bennett; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Joe’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff from Beacon hospice for the exceptional care provided and to Joe’s coworkers from Pepsi Co., for all their support over these past months.

 

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Thursday, May 16, from 4 to 8 p.m.  His Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 144 East Merrimack St., Lowell.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
