John J. McDonough

John J. McDonough, age 54, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 6th 2020 at his home. He was the recent widower of Anna G. (Cucchi) McDonough, who died on December 24th 2019.   

John was born and raised in South Boston.  He was a proud U.S. Army veteran having served from 1984 until his honorable discharge in 1988.  After returning from the service, he began a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, specializing in home healthcare.

He is survived by his step children, Mathew Galvin of Boston, Anthony Galvin of Tyngsborough, Kelly Galvin of Tyngsborough and Samantha Galvin of Lawrence.

Friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Tuesday morning from 8:45 until 9:45.m. Those attending will be required to wear a mask.  Committal Services including  Military Honors will be private in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to a Veterans organization of your choice.
