John J. Carrigg, age 76, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (DiMattio) Carrigg who passed recently in June.
Born in Lowell on June 25, 1945, he was the son of the late John and Albina (Kazlauskas) Carrigg. He was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School and later earned an associate’s degree in Paranormal Studies from Faber College.
John was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until honorable discharge in 1971.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years as a maintenance mechanic by the Lowell Housing Authority.
He had been active member and past president of the Dracut Pop Warner and the Dracut Lions Club. John enjoyed playing golf and spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Carrigg of Manchester, NH and Christopher Carrigg and his companion Krista Leblanc of Weare, NH; four grandchildren, Anne, Faith, Dylan and Kendall; and an aunt, Lt. Col. (ret) Carol Kazlauskas.
