John B. Bakke

John B. Bakke, age 59, a resident of Pembroke, NH, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, with his family by his side. 

Born in Metairie, Louisiana on April 15, 1965, he was a son of the late Jack and Peggy (McCoy) Bakke.  He received his early education at the Riverside & Pyne School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1983.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1986 until his honorable discharge in 1994.

John worked for the past 4 years as a supervisor for Mirra Co., LLC in Georgetown, MA. Previously he was employed at Martin Welding, RH White and Neuco, where he was a Foreman and heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed fishing, darts and a good game of pool.  Growing up he played baseball at Shedd Park and then softball as he got older.  He was a lifelong Patriots fan, but most of all he enjoyed time with his family, especially his sister Vickie and his niece Samantha and all the fur babies.

He is survived by three brothers and three sisters-in-law; Steven and Tricia Bakke of Nashua, Bruce and Teresa Bakke of Bay City, MI and their daughter Katrina and David and Michelle Bakke of Tewksbury and their daughter Samantha; a sister, Victoria Bakke of Tewksbury; a cousin Sonny of GA and many dear friends.

John’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to everyone from the Mirra Company for all the support and visits during his illness.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Sunday, Feb. 2, from time 1 to 4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to RARA, 295 High Street, Lowell, MA 01852.
