Joanne (Kenyon) Sousa, age 84, a resident of Hudson, NH and formerly of Lowell, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.  She was the beloved wife and best friend of Brendan J. Sousa for over 64 years.

Born in Lowell on December 29, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalie (Howe) Kenyon.  She was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School Class of 1956.

Before she retired, Joanne was the office manager at a local dentist office for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, playing cards and reading.  Joanne treasured the moments she spent with her two granddaughters and always looked forward to spending time with her three sisters. She enjoyed her membership in the Red Hat Society and was a dedicated mother supporting her daughter Brenda and the Pioneer Girls Organization at the Immanuel Baptist Church, where generations of the Kenyon family attended for many years. Joanne will always be remembered as someone who asked for so little but gave so very much.

Surviving her in addition to her loving husband are a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and John Greenwood of Pepperell; her son and daughter-in-law, Brian J. and Anne-Marie Sousa of Hollis, NH; two granddaughters, Stephanie Sousa and her partner Doug Wyman of Westford and Kathryn Sousa of Littleton, NH; a great granddaughter, Rosie Wyman; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Virginia Fairbanks of Windham, NH and Diane and Doug MacDonald of Pawleys Island, SC; very close sisters-in-law of the Sousa family and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was also the sister of the late Carol Tardiff.
