Jeffrey Lee Makos, Jr.
Jeffrey Lee Makos, Jr., age 55, a resident of Dracut, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Lowell General Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Claudia Makos, with whom he had been married to for 17 years.
Born in Lowell on September 23, 1965, he was the son of the late Jeffrey L. Makos, Sr. and the late Barbara L. (Lussieur) Makos. He was educated in the Dracut school system and was a graduate of Dracut Senior High School.
Jeffrey was self-employed as a contractor having owned and operated the JMJ Construction company for many years.
He was a passionate Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed bringing his wife to many games throughout the season; he enjoyed fishing, playing poker, playing the guitar and making up songs for his grandchildren and driving his Corvette. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and preparing his annual Thanksgiving Day feast.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife Claudia, are three children, Rafael Cardoso and his wife Kyara of Nashua, Ravilla Garthe and her husband Richard III of Tyngsborough and Kendra Cahill and her husband Jeremy of Nashua; four grandchildren, Richard Garthe IV, Juliana Cardoso, Ryan Garthe and Connor Cahill; his step mother, Linda Makos of Dracut; two sisters, Cherie Makos of AK and Cheryl Sylvestre and her companion Sean Murphy of Dracut; also many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
He was also the brother of the late Dawn Sylvestre.
