Jane (Miller) McKenzie Obituary

Jane M. (Miller) McKenzie, a resident of Tyngsborough, MA and a former longtime resident of Lisbon, NH, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, with family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of the late Corliss McKenzie.

Born in Littleton, NH on September 13, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth (Noyes) Miller.  She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Lisbon High School.

Jane worked as a bookkeeper for many years at The Courier newspaper in Littleton, New Hampshire and enjoyed working for The Lisbon Village Country Club where she was also an active member.

While living in Lisbon, she was a member of the Lisbon Shared Ministry and after moving to Tyngsborough, she became an active member of the Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford, MA.

She enjoyed golf, watching television, especially John Wayne movies and she always looked forward to lunch as often as possible with her siblings and weekly with all her friends from church.  Since moving to Tyngsboro, Jane also enjoyed keeping tabs on all her family, friends, and classmates via FB.  She was known to have a firm grasp on all things happening at home.

A favorite short road trip was to Parlee Farms in Tyngsborough for fresh strawberries, blueberries, scones and to visit the baby goats.

Jane was a people person; she saw the good in everyone and made friends wherever she went.  She was great at starting a conversation.  Sometimes while others cringed, she just decided if there was something she wanted to know, she would just ask.

She is survived by three children, Tammy McKenzie and partner Tom Clement, Steve McKenzie, and Melissa McKenzie; two granddaughters, Kristy (Laleme) Cates and her husband Richard and Chynna McKenzie; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Paul and Maria Miller and George and Joanne Miller; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Wilhelmina and George Hilton and Mary Jo Miller; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  She is predeceased by her sister Beverly Pelletier, her husband Donald, brother David Miller his wife Ramona and their son Davy.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather, share stories and celebrate Jane’s life on June 28, 2024 from 1 to 2:30 PM at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough.

There will also be a service in Lisbon, NH at the Lisbon Landaff Federated Church, 49 So. Main St Lisbon, NH 03585 on June 27th at 1pm with burial to follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Lisbon.
