Hunter Fagan Obituary

Hunter T. Fagan, age 21, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away unexpectedly on October 16, 2022.
Born in Winchester on November 26, 2000, Hunter was the beloved son of Lawrence Fagan, Jr. and Claudia (Gulla) Fagan and the cherished brother of Alex Fagan. He was dearly loved by his aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends, all of whom knew how special he was. Hunter will be remembered as sweet, kind, loving and loyal. He was extremely bright, athletic, creative and musically talented. For someone so young, he had accomplished much in his life.
Hunter graduated from The Innovation Academy in Tyngsborough in 2019 and was currently studying advanced physics at UMASS Lowell. At Innovation Academy, Hunter was a member of the indoor and outdoor track teams and set a school record in 2019 in the 5k with a time of 16.02, capturing the eastern MA division championship title.
Hunter had so many varied interests. He enjoyed playing ice hockey, playing the position of goalie for about 8 years, enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, cross country running, playing golf, building Lego sets and model rockets, building custom guitars and bass instruments, as well as playing bass/guitars and writing music. He also enjoyed flying RC planes. But from a very young age, Hunter’s true love and life passion was actually flying airplanes.
Hunter starting flying at just 14 years old and obtained his pilot’s license at 17, even before obtaining his driving license. He received his commercial pilot’s license earlier this year, and was currently an instructor at the East Coast Aero Club in Nashua, NH. He ultimately wanted to pilot commercial jets.
In addition to his mother, father and brother, Hunter is survived by his brother’s fiancée Nicole Spitalere; his grandmothers, Barbara Fagan and Florence “Flori” Gulla; and many loving relatives and friends. Hunter was the grandson of the late Lawrence “Butch” Fagan and Anthony “Tony” Gulla. Hunter also leaves behind his very best friend from childhood, Jack Bouche, who we considered a brother to Hunter. Also, Hunter leaves behind his most beloved puggle dog, Max, who he enjoyed walking daily.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. A celebration of his life will take place immediately following at 3 p.m. For online condolences or directions, please visit www.tyngsboroughfuneralhome.com.
