Helen R. Bastien

Helen R. (Norcross) Bastien, age 79, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond Bastien.

Born in Boston on October 18, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Theo (Pomroy) Norcross.  She was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School.

Helen loved raising her family, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing bingo and trips to the beach.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Colette Doubleday and her husband Donald of Lowell; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Mark and Daryl Bastien of Lowell, Denis and Julie Bastien of Wilmington and Justin and Rachel Bastien of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Stephanie McNulty and her husband David, C.J. Doubleday, Mathew Bastien and his wife Kate, Jonathan Bastien and his partner Happy, Lillian Bastien, Alexis Bastien, Alanna Bastien and Alivia Bastien; seven great grandchildren, Rosalie McNulty, Rebekah McNulty, Rae McNulty, Penelope Bastien, Caleb Bastien, Braxton Bastien and Zoey Bastien; a sister, Shiela Pitts of Chelmsford; her twin brother and his wife, John and Esther Norcross of Leominster; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Rose Bastien of Hudson, NH; and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Helen’s wishes, there will be no services.  Those wishing may make a donation in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
