Heather (Glynn) Spyrakis

Heather (Glynn) Spyrakis, age 49, a resident of Lowell, passed away on Friday May 24, 2024. She was the wife of Yannis Spyrakis, from Greece, with whom she shared 15 years of marriage.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on December 13, 1974, she was the daughter of Paul (Sloop) and Patricia (Manning) Glynn of Pelham, NH.  Heather grew up in Chelmsford, MA, attended Chelmsford schools and graduated from Chelmsford High School. After two years at Middlesex College in Bedford, MA, she went on to UMass Lowell, receiving her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.

Heather worked her way through college by waitressing at Friendly’s in Chelmsford Center. She was a hard worker, but her smile and friendly personality brought her many “regular” customers. And like her Meme, her pockets were always full at the end of her shift. Her degrees led up to working for UMass Lowell’s Research and Development department as a grants and contract specialist. Again, her personality came through with the professors, military and procurement agencies. Her love for colored post it notes for organization made her area the most interesting.

Surviving her in addition to her parents and husband Yannis, are her brother Joshua Glynn and his wife Cheryl Glynn, two nephews, Travis and Jacob Glynn, and a half-sister, Sr. Mary Catharine, O.P. of the Rosary Monastery in Summit, NJ. Her special aunt, Denise Parker, uncle Glen Parker, and cousins Lindsey Parker, Michelle Parker, and Jessica Parker Ortiz spouse of Raphael Ortiz, Jackie Glynn, Betty (Glynn) Antonellis, Billy Glynn, Eddie Glynn and their families; her wonderful friends, who she forever enjoyed Kristin Giangarra from Ayer, Marguerite Lemmerman from Chelmsford, Meagan and Rob Dec-Margo from Londonderry, NH along with their families.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 3 to 5 p.m.  Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
